Women SHG Movement
Aim: Empowering women living below the poverty line by improving their socio-economic conditions by generating awareness and building income-earning capacity through forming strong & cohesive self-help groups (SHGs).
Main Activities
- Formation of women SHGs.
- Imparting training to Animators, Representatives (Leaders), and Members.
- Creating awareness on women’s health, education, leadership, and rights.
- Federated SHGs at the Panchayat Level & Cluster level.
- Promoting saving habits, income generation, and livelihood activities.
- Involving SHGs in social & community action programs.

Resources, Inspiration, Support, Empowerment
Aim: Strengthening women SHGs through formation, follow-up, and monitoring.
Main Activities
- Basic SHG concept training, refresher training & exposure to the SHGs.
- Conduct Entrepreneur Development training & Skill Training to SHGs.
- Motivation, skill development & initiatives for economic development activities.
- Facilitating Community development activities.
Cluster Resource Center (CRC)
Aim: Capacitate women to become leaders by federating the women SHGs which are functioning in the cluster of 10 panchayats.
Structure & Activities
- SHGs in the Cluster of 10 Panchayats are members of CRC.
- Office bearers of each PLF represent the CRC.
- CRC elects office bearers and forms an Executive Committee.
- Executive Committee members divide into task force committees.
- Responsibility: Planning, implementing & monitoring empowerment activities.
Women Empowerment
- Women Association formed in 10 villages
- Formed 6000 Women Self Help Groups and 200 SHGs for Men
- Formation of 9 Cluster Resource Centers consisting of 750 SHGs for women development
- Motivated 500 women to contest in the Local Body Election
- Supported issues pertaining to violence against women
- Awareness women conference every year for 3000 women
- Gender Sensitization to 2000 leaders of SHGs and 2000 Police personnel
- Skill training on Technical and Managerial skills imparted
- Entrepreneur Development Training to 1200 women
- 4000 women farmers (small & marginal) trained in promoting agriculture products
